A hamlet in Alberta, Canada’s Banff National Park is called Lake Louise. It is located 3 km northeast of the lake by the same name on the Bow River in the Canadian Rockies, and was named for Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll. At 5,200 feet, Lake Louise is the highest community in Canada. It was first founded in 1884 as a Canadian Pacific Railway outpost. One of the most well-known mountain views in the world is the neighbouring lake, which is surrounded by mountains.
