Pointe-à-Callière – Museum

Located in Old Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the Pointe-à-Callière Museum is a historical and archaeological museum. It was established in 1992 as a part of the 350th birthday festivities in Montreal. The museum’s collections of First Nations artifacts from the Montreal area show how different civilizations coexisted and interacted, as well as how the history of this region was shaped throughout time by the French and British empires. Since its nomination in 1924, Pointe-à-Callière has been a part of Montreal’s Birthplace National Historic Site.

Every year, almost 350,000 people visit it. The museum has seen around 4.5 million visitors since it first opened in 1992.
