Goldbelt Tram

In the American state of Alaska, immediately south of Juneau’s downtown, is an aerial tramway known as the Goldbelt Tram (originally Mount Roberts Tramway). The tram, which has been running since 1996, ascends Mount Roberts 3,819 feet (1,164 meters) in six minutes from the cruise ship ports, which are only a few feet above sea level, to a height of roughly 1,800 feet.
