Lake Mendota

Of the four lakes in Madison, Wisconsin, Lake Mendota is the largest and most northern freshwater eutrophic lake. Madison is to the north, east, and south; Middleton is to the west; Shorewood Hills is to the southwest; Maple Bluff is to the northeast; and Westport is to the northwest is where the lake is surrounded.
