Southern Oregon is home to Crater Lake National Park, an American national park. Crater Lake is the sole national park in Oregon and the fifth-oldest national park in the United States, having been established in 1902. The park includes the ruins of a volcano called Mount Mazama, the crater of Crater Lake, and the hills and woods that surround it.
