Coronado Beach


Situated across the San Diego Bay from downtown San Diego, the resort city of Coronado (Spanish for “Crowned”) is part of San Diego County, California, in the United States. It was formed in 1890 after being founded in the 1880s. 20,192 people called it home in 2020, down from 24,697 in 2010. Coronado is a linked island that is joined to the mainland by the Silver Strand, a tombolo.
