St. Marks Wildlife Refuge

One of the nation’s oldest wildlife refuges is St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, located in Wakulla County, Florida. It was created in 1931 as a migratory bird’s wintering area and covers an area of more than 336 km² in the states of Wakulla, Jefferson, and Taylor in Florida.
