Dedicated to the conservation and teaching of aquatic life, The Aquarium of Niagara is a non-profit public aquarium located in Niagara Falls, New York. Established by a consortium of scientists, including chemists, it was initially privately held and inaugurated on June 12, 1965. In September 1977, ownership was transferred to the Sea Research Foundation, a non-profit organization. On February 18, 1994, the ownership was transferred to the Niagara Aquarium Foundation.
