Winchester Mystery House

Sarah Winchester, the wife of gun tycoon William Wirt Winchester, once called the estate in San Jose, California, “The Winchester Mystery House.” Nine months after Winchester’s death in 1922, the mansion was turned into a tourist destination. The enormous and architecturally fascinating mansion, built in the styles of the Victorian and Gothic eras, is well known.
