Akumal Beach

Situated between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, 100 kilometres south of Cancún, is Akumal, a small beachside resort hamlet popular with tourists. Part of the Riviera Maya region, it is situated on Akumal Bay and Half Moon Bay, the location of a former coconut plantation in Tulum Municipality, Quintana Roo state.
