Amphitheatre of Nîmes


Located in Nîmes, southern France, the Arena of Nîmes is a Roman amphitheatre. One of the world’s best-preserved Roman amphitheatres, it was constructed in the year 100 CE, not long after the construction of the Colosseum. With an arena spanning 223 by 125 feet, it is 436 feet long and 331 feet broad.
