Renamed the Currency Museum, the Bank of Canada Museum first opened its doors in 1980 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on the ground floor of the Bank of Canada building. The museum, which was temporarily closed in 2013 for extensive building repairs, reopened on July 1, 2017, at a new location with an entirely new layout and concept.
