Gates of the Mountains

Montana, in the United States, is home to the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness. The wilderness was established in 1964 by a congressional statute and is overseen by Helena National Forest. Meriwether Picnic spot, a day-use campground close to the Gates of the Mountains, bears Meriwether Lewis’s name.
