Glamis Sand Dunes

Situated close to the borders of Arizona and the Mexican state of Baja California, in the southeast of the United States state of California, lies a sizable sand dune field known as the Algodones Dunes. The field spans six miles (9.7 km) in width and forty-five miles (72 km) in length, extending in a northwest-southeast direction that corresponds to the predominant westerly and northerly wind patterns.
