A public park called Millennium Park is run by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and is situated in the Loop neighbourhood of the city. Opened in 2004 as a celebration of the third millennium, the park occupies 24.5 acres of northwest Grant Park and is a well-known civic hub close to the city’s Lake Michigan waterfront.
