Monte Albán

Located in the Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán Municipality in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, Monte Albán is a sizable pre-Columbian archeological site. Situated at the meeting point of the southern Zimatlán and Ocotlán branches, the eastern Tlacolula, northern Etla, and central Valley of Oaxaca, the site is a minor mountain range rising above the plain.
