Pirates of Nassau Museum

With Nassau at its centre, the Golden Age of Piracy spanned thirty years, from 1690 to 1720. When the privateer Henry Every sailed his ship, the Fancy, into Nassau Harbour in 1696 bearing treasure from raiding trade ships of the Indian Empire, the Bahamas saw the start of the piracy era.
