Senso-ji Temple


Sensō-ji is a historic Buddhist temple in Tokyo, Japan’s Asakusa district. It is one of the most important and oldest temples in Tokyo. It was formerly connected to the Buddhist Tendai sect, but following World War II, it gained independence. With more than 30 million visits a year, it is the most popular religious site worldwide and is devoted to Kannon, the compassion-focused bodhisattva.
