Skellig Michael, commonly known as Great Skellig, is a twin-pinnacled crag located in County Kerry, Ireland, 11.6 miles west of the Iveragh Peninsula. Filming for a number of documentaries and movies has taken place on the island. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) both used the island as a filming location for the planet Ahch-To. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) also used aerial imagery of the island.
