Stone Hall Castle

This castle’s background is just as fascinating as the person who owned it originally. It is a little-known truth that the original Darke mansion, which is now the site of the Hotel Saskatchewan, sustained damage in the terrible 1912 cyclone that ripped through Regina’s downtown. According to legend, his adored wife Annie begged him to construct a house where she could feel secure once more after the incident so devastated her. This is likely not the castle that was constructed, if not for the natural calamity.
