The Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is a palace complex located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, at the heart of the Imperial City of Beijing. It is bordered by lavish imperial gardens and temples, including Zhongshan Park, which houses the sacrificial Imperial Ancestral Temple. It is formally run by the Palace Museum.
