The Guardian Building

In the heart of the Financial District in downtown Detroit, Michigan, stands the Guardian Building, a famous skyscraper. Originally known as the Union Trust Building, it was constructed between 1928 and 1929 and is a striking example of Art Deco architecture with modernist elements. Ownership of the National Historic Landmark was granted to Wayne County in 1989.
