U.S. Capitol

The legislative branch of the federal government is housed at the United States Capitol, also referred to as The Capitol or the Capitol Building. It is situated in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill near the eastern edge of the National Mall. The Capitol serves as the starting point for the area’s street numbering system and its four quadrants, although no longer being the physical centre of the federal district.
